Executive Director/Accountable Executive
The Western Piedmont Regional Transit Authority (WPRTA), dba Greenway Public Transportation, located in Conover, NC is seeking an experienced professional to become the organization’s Executive Director. The WPRTA service area includes the Hickory Metro with a population exceeding 365,000 persons, wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities, a strong manufacturing base, regional shopping, and vibrant communities and downtowns. Reporting directly to the WPRTA Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the management, execution and administration of all of the transportation plans, federal and state compliance, of WPRTA as set forth by the WPRTA Board of Directors.
