In addition, Pace also provides the City of Chicago ADA Paratransit service within the CTA service area.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes route and service performance data to recommend service improvements, reductions, or adjustments.
Involved in multiple planning tasks and projects such as land use, corridor, service, and restructuring studies and initiatives, typically as part of a cross-functional team.
Assists in the development of public materials related to the planning and scheduling of routes and services.
Participates in the Posted Stops project.
Attends public meetings; conducts field work to review current service and plan new service.
Investigates and responds to inquiries about the planning or scheduling of routes and services; and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must have a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, transportation planning, or other related field, with a focus in transit planning (a master's degree in one of the aforementioned fields is preferred).
A minimum of one year of experience in transit planning or a related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the position’s essential duties will be considered).
American Institute of Certified Planners certification is preferred.
Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient with the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ArcGIS/Map. Knowledge of IBS Bus Operations, Tableau, Ridecheck, and Hastus is preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; excellent data analysis, logic, and computer skills; outstanding time and project management skills.
Must have the ability to produce accurate work and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
Most work is performed in a professional office environment. However, work is occasionally conducted at Pace garages, in the field, and at other facilities/locations within the Pace service area. This position requires the ability to lift and carry 10 pounds.
Office location for this position is 550 West Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, IL. The position reports to the Service Planning Supervisor.

Pace is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of thirteen directors. Each serves a four-year term and, with the exception of the Commissioner of the Mayor?s Office for People with Disabilities, must be a Mayor or Village President from his or her respective region, or a former Mayor or Village President residing in his or her respective region.
