Position Summary:
Parking and Transportation Services is looking for an individual to fill the role of Parking Services Operations Manager. In this role you would be responsible for:
Event Planning and Support: Provides event planning and coordinates support for all campus events that have parking needs, including representing the department at planning meetings related to large scale University events (i.e., university commencements, football games, concerts, etc.). Collaborates with the Senior Parking Services Ambassador to effectively resource staffing for events, and communicates quality standards to all appropriate staff, setting standards of service excellence in all areas.
Management of Parking Appeals Process: Reviews all parking ticket appeal processes and procedures. Ensures compliance with the university's enabling legislation, vehicle and traffic Laws and ADA guidelines in rendering fair and equitable decisions pertaining to appeals. Offers sound judgment when assessing extenuating circumstances pertaining to the special needs of the university community. Compares dismissal rates amongst staff members, coordinates meetings to ensure consistent reviews and recommends changes to signage policy or procedures in the event of trends. Provides statistical analysis of appeal trends and decisions delivered.
Technical Support: Serves as secondary technical support staff member, possessing knowledge and ability to seek enhancements to current technical applications (including GPS, passenger counting applications, bike sharing technology components, parking software and hardware as well as access revenue control systems used by office staff and field staff.) Provides technical support to enforcement staff, as relates to troubleshooting and resolving issues with handheld citation writing devices. Develops new reports and queries where needed to draw information from parking software.
Administrative Support: Contributes to the success of the customer service team, assisting with answering questions from customers in-person, by phone, and via e-mail. Will serve as a bridge between customer service staff and parking ambassador teams to communicate trends and issues shared within customer service interactions and the appeal process. This position also works on the Clinic Parking Committee to develop and maintain excellent customer relations with university partners that accommodate visitor/client parking needs.
Parking Lot Reporting: Conducts routineparking lot capacity assessments across all three campuses. Assists the Assistant Director of Parking Services with coordination of parking lot condition reports. Responsible for procuring campus parking lot, roadway, and transit related signage, serving as point of contact for all signage requests and work orders.
