Job Description

TSG is looking to grow aggressively and currently seeking a highly motivated Vice President of Business Development who will identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities to grow our portfolio of clients and projects. He/She/They will report to and work closely with the executive team. This is a full-time salaried position based in the Los Angeles area that requires significant domestic travel, so make sure to have your frequent flyer numbers handy!
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for bringing in new business and clients through existing channels and developing new channels of potential work, with an emphasis on Project Controls and Project/Program Management assignments.
Identify new industries, geographical locations, and strategic relationships that will best position the firm for winning additional business.
Cultivate relationships with potential clients and teaming partners by attending industry functions and executing timely follow-up communication.
Develop and implement procedures to identify as early as possible the existence and timeline of projects that fit within the firm’s target markets and core competencies.
Responsible for reviewing Request for Proposals on which the firm wishes to bid and overseeing pricing, preparation, and submission of all proposals.
Responsible for supporting and coordinating business development efforts with other TSG members to optimize the opportunity to grow TSG.
Prior Experience:
Working with large-scale transit and/or public works agencies.
Selling program/project/construction management services on public works projects.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years’ experience selling consulting services in transit.
At least 3 years’ experience as a business development lead
Four-year degree, BS in Business Management or related field, or an MBA
Demonstrated time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Professional, assertive, and skilled in forming new relationships.
Experience developing and delivering high quality presentations and proposals.
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and new BD technologies.
Valid Driver’s License
TRAVEL: The Vice President of Business Development will be required to travel outside the office up to 50% of the time to pitch new business, conduct meetings, attend industry events, and meet with prospective clients as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Individuals may need to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift up to 25 pounds as required to file documents or store materials and/or office supplies. Proper lifting techniques required.
During the course of your employment, you may be asked to complete and/or renew safety training or certifications onsite or with outside vendors or professionals, including (but not limited to) CPR, disaster planning, active shooter, and first aid.
