Position Overview: As the Director of Business Development, you will be a key leader responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion and new business opportunities. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with our goals and values. Your expertise will play a critical role in identifying potential clients, forging alliances and ensuring sustainable growth in both our sign manufacturing and software development divisions.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the executive team to define the company’s business development goals, strategies, and objectives. Leverage your insights and industry knowledge to create and implement comprehensive plans for sustainable revenue growth.
Partnerships and Alliances: Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships, alliances and collaborations with key stakeholders including clients, suppliers, and technology partners. Identify opportunities for joint ventures, co-marketing efforts and mutually beneficial relationships.
Sales and Client Management: Lead the sales effort in effectively communicating our value proposition to potential clients. Oversee the development of sales strategies, proposals and presentations to secure new business contracts and long-term partnerships.
Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities and prospects. Utilize CRM tools to manage and analyze sales data, providing insights for decision-making.
New Market Penetration: Identify untapped markets and customer segments to enter new markets and drive growth.
Product Development Collaboration: Collaborate with the software development and manufacturing teams to ensure our offerings align with market needs and technological advancements. Provide feedback on product enhancements and new feature development.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve revenue targets.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of 3-5 years in business development, sales or related roles in the public transportation sector preferably in sign manufacturing technology or software industries.
Proven track record of writing and winning RFPs in the public transportation sector.
Strong network of industry contacts and proven success in building and nurturing relationships.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data and trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events and conferences.
