Supervise up to 12 team members at any given time.
Perform full supervisory duties for dispersed professional staff with diverse responsibilities.
Plan, assign, approve and evaluate the quality of work and services provided.
Implement policies, procedures and sets standards for the unit and public transportation programs.
Work in partnership with internal and external partners to develop tools, technology and resources to increase the program effectiveness.
Organize and work with internal and external partners to strengthen the implementation of goals and initiatives.
Develop and oversee implementation of internal and external participant engagement and communication plans.
Represent agency on committees and boards to provide perspective and framework for programs and initiatives.
Implement program compliance policies and procedures that follow state and federal requirements.
Work in an office environment with remote work options available.
May be required to work long hours, and some evenings and/or weekends. Occasional travel in and out-of-state, including some overnight trips.

Minimum qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience;
OR
Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Special qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.

General knowledge of public transportation funding regulations and processes.
A proven track record of interpreting and explaining complex laws and regulations to internal and external partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills—Including public speaking and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Skilled in creative problem solving to implement program and policy improvements.
Demonstrated experience in directing or influencing the work of diverse teams that work in different locations with differing reporting relationships.
Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and mentoring to guide program development, process improvement and implementation.
