Transportation Services provides mobility options for the Boston University community including parking, shuttle services, mass transit resources, and bicycle/scooter programs. This is a Transportation Demand Management (TDM)-focused position housed in Transportation Services bike shop the BUCK (BU Cycle Kitchen). The Bicycle Program Assistant supports university bicycling programs including BUCK staffing, hands-on teaching, communication, event execution, bike room access management, and parking facility maintenance.
Required Skills
Education level: GED / High School diploma
LAB Certified Instructor (LCI) Preferred
3-5 years of experience
Candidates are not required to be professional bike mechanics but should be very comfortable making intermediate-level bike repairs on a variety of bicycles. Teaching and/or bike shop experience a plus.
