The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) seeks an individual to assist with the development and communication of the public transportation industry's positions on federal legislative issues to its members, Members of Congress, Congressional committees, the Executive Branch, other organizations, and the public. Duties include, but are not limited to: Communicating APTA’s positions on legislative issues; Developing and executing a strategies to advance APTA’s priorities as well as an advocacy strategy to build public awareness and support for public transportation; Serving as a staff advisor to legislative committees; Preparing Congressional testimony on relevant topics and speeches for APTA officers and executive staff; Representing APTA at industry meetings and event
