Baylor's Department of Environmental science is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate, to the Atmospheric and Climate Modeling Lab of Dr. Yang Li (https://sites.baylor.edu/yang_li3/). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on research projects that focus on high-resolution modeling of traffic air pollution. This assignment will be for one year with the possibility for renewal based on performance, funding, and mutual agreement.
Requirements:
A Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences or a related field is required for this position.
Substantial experience in 3-D atmospheric chemical transport modeling.
Proficiency in communicating scientific/technical contents in writing, publishing, and oral briefings.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Strong background in WRF-Chem modeling.
Strong programming skills in analyzing model output and satellite observations.

What You Will Do
Design and create scenario-based traffic emissions inventories.
Conduct WRF-Chem modeling.
Assess model results using multi-platform observations.
Analyze and interpret model outcomes to determine traffic air quality impacts from local to regional scales.
Communicate and document research findings.
Prepare publications.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
