We are seeking a skilled and experienced Superintendent, Bus Fleet Maintenance to oversee and manage the operations of our bus fleet maintenance department. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of buses is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will manage bus fleet maintenance specialists, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and handle repairs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the fleet. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and work closely with senior leadership to optimize maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement in fleet maintenance management.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field
Experience:
Four (4) years of management-level experience in overseeing bus fleet maintenance operations, including staff supervision, budget management, compliance with safety standards, and enhancing efficiency.
A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
Drug Testing:
This position is safety sensitive and subject to Valley Metro's Drug & Alcohol Program.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon the results of a background check.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Arizona Class B CDL and a safe driving record.
This position must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and on call to meet operational needs.
